Walking thru the process of Breast Cancer treatment convicted me to invest more in my health. Can you say , “Self Care”. Many times we get in cycles and patterns in life of just managing family, relationships and job. The last priority becomes taking care of ourselves. Investing in Self Care. Self Care can feel selfish. But I’m reminded of a bible verse I love in Mark 12:31 “…Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. ” (emphasis mine). Truth is, we take care of other people, job or situations more than ourselves.
The scripture here is explaining that you cannot really love people in a healthy way unless you first love yourself in a healthy way. So I’m investing in my health by being a more conscious eater. I’m Not exactly Vegan but moving in that direction. Here is some great information on the benefits of a plant based diet:

*Reduces the chance of High Blood Pressure
*Eliminates the risk of Cancer related illnesses
*Reduces Obesity
*Aids in regular digestion

Documentaries such as “What the Health” and “Food Inc”, more awareness is being brought to forefront on the dangers of a meat heavy diet. According to Plant Based News, Veganism skyrocketed %600 in 2017. In America alone over 6% of the population converted to Veganism or a Plant Based diet. Now that it is 2018 more and more people are making conscious decisions towards shifting their diets to a more plant based diet. Join me on my journey to shifting to a Plant Based diet.
